We are very aware that food and beverage companies may try to influence our Food GreenScore® Method and Standards, Data Sources, and/or scoring results in order to earn higher Food GreenScores® for their products. We do not allow this, and we will avoid conflicts of interests.
We are very aware that food and beverage companies may try to influence our Food GreenScore® Method and Standards, Data Sources, and/or scoring results in order to earn higher Food GreenScores® for their products. We do not allow this, and we will avoid conflicts of interests.
No brand can pay GreenChoice to alter or influence a product's GreenScore®.
We will maintain an independent Science Advisory Board to guide our Food GreenScore® Method and Standards.
Because of legitimate concerns about corporations' influence on food health policy in the United States, GreenChoice will always consider international and non-governmental health and sustainability guidelines and research from groups like the World Health Organization, FAO, Harvard School of Public Health, and Greenhouse Gas Protocol in addition to U.S. federal guidelines and research.
We will not operate a pay to play model (like many food certifications where brands have to pay the certifying entity to have their products certified); brands can have their products' scored by us for free.

The Science Advisory Board will review GreenChoice quarterly for any potential conflicts of interest or breaches of the above. The Science Advisory Board and GreenChoice leadership will review annually this policy for opportunities to improve our operating practices in line with our Public Benefit of "empowering people to create a more healthy, just, and sustainable world."
